Northside Transformative Law Center is a space where community members, families, and professionals come together to advocate and accompany individuals who are navigating the criminal justice system. We also provide a safe space for healing and restoration for incarcerated and reentering citizens and their families.

You will find our space filled with art, words, and other objects of significance. We hope to facilitate an awareness that at every point in an individual’s journey both physical and spiritual they are leaving something behind.

in the news...

By one estimate, about a quarter of all police shootings nationally involve a person in mental distress. After these police shootings happen, people have the same conversations over and over: What did the police officers do right? And what did they do wrong?

But as Chicago looks to the future of policing in the city, some mental health experts and advocates are also asking something more fundamental: How often do police need to be sent out? And what could the city do instead?.......

What Could The City Do Instead?
